About
I am a therapist (M.Sc) with post graduate training in Counseling and Family Therapy. I see individuals and couples, helping them achieve their goals and improve the quality of their lives.
Private Practice
I have offices in Rechovot and RBS. Individual, couple, and family sessions are available.
I am comfortable working in English or Hebrew.
I offer professional and culturally sensitive services to the dati and charedi population. If you are orthodox or ultra-orthodox, you may prefer seeing a therapist who understands your culture, the societal context, and the concept of halacha. Some clients report feeling that their dilemmas are better understood in this context.
I also warmly welcome individuals and couples from the general public.
As per professional standards, all services are strictly confidential.
Therapeutic Approaches
Below are the main approaches that I use and a short explanation of each one:
- Family Systems– sees the individual as part of a system. Notices the impact an individual has on the system as well as the impact the system has on the individual. Looks at patterns of interaction and behavior.
- IFS (Internal Family Systems)- sees an individual having several parts, such as an angry part, a hurt part etc. At the core of a person is a wholeness that has the ability to lead. The client learns skills to become their own therapist who can then work with their own parts.
- EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)- helps integrate difficult memories using strategies from cognitive therapy together with eye movements (alternatively, there are audio and tapping options as well). This is a robust treatment and is considered an “A” level treatment for trauma by the World Health Organization.
- Somatic Interventions– noticing and using body awareness. This is a good and gentle approach to healing old negative experiences or trauma which is often “stuck in the body”.
- Mindfulness– being more aware of one’s experience. This can include an awareness of one’s surroundings, of sensations, feelings, thoughts, and internal experience. This can be used as a skill on its own. It is more often used together with other approaches such as IFS, EMDR, and Somatic Interventions.
- IFIO– This is an IFS based approach to couple therapy. It helps couples notice what is happening for them, supports couples in listening and hearing each other, and facilitates communicating in a more effective way.
Experience
